Photo and Selfie Verification (Face Data)

To keep our community authentic, we offer an optional selfie verification feature. When you choose to verify your account, you record a short selfie video and follow on-screen prompts to turn your head in several directions. We want to be clear about how this works:

• No biometric data is collected or stored. We do not create, collect, or store faceprints, facial-recognition templates, or any other biometric identifiers.
• Face detection runs only on your device. During recording, on-device face-landmark detection (provided by Google's MediaPipe library) runs locally in the app to confirm a live person is present and to guide the head-turn prompts. These landmark points are processed in real time on your device and are never transmitted to us, stored, or saved.
• Only the selfie video is stored. The short verification video is the only item we retain. It is used for one purpose: to allow our trust-and-safety team to manually confirm that the account belongs to a real person who matches their profile photos, in order to prevent fake or fraudulent accounts. It is not used for facial recognition, automated identity matching, advertising, or profiling.
• Storage and sharing. Verification videos are stored privately in our secured cloud storage (Supabase, hosted on AWS) under access controls and are accessible only to authorized trust-and-safety staff. We do not share verification videos with any third parties.
• Retention and deletion. Verification videos are retained only as long as needed to establish and maintain your account's verified status, and are deleted when you delete your account or upon your request to us at the contact below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide our dating platform services, including profile discovery and messaging
